ChurchConnect

Church text messaging to the people you already know

For church offices that want to reach the right people without copying addresses between three tools. Write the message once and pick who gets it from your directory.

What church text messaging does for the office

A reminder that the Wednesday supper moved, a note that the nursery needs one more adult, a word to one family after a hospital visit: those messages should go to the people you already know, not to a list you copied into another tool last year. Church text messaging in ChurchConnect sends to people, a group, or the whole church from the same directory the secretary uses for everything else.

Email and in-app messages are there on every plan, including the Free plan, and you send them yourself. Texting is the part that comes with a paid Pro plan. You write the note, you pick the recipients from the directory, and the sent list shows what went out, when, and to how many people. Templates hold the notes you send every week so the Sunday reminder is not retyped from scratch.

How a text goes out

Open Communications. Start from a blank note or a saved template. Choose the people, a group, or everyone. Send by email on any plan. Texting to people already in the directory is on a paid Pro plan.

Members who use the member side of ChurchConnect can also receive in-app messages, which stays on the Free plan. A weekly bulletin that should also become a printed insert is a different job: that is the bulletin, built once from the week’s services and events. Use texting when the note is short and needs to reach a phone. Use email when it can be longer. Use the bulletin when the whole church should hold the same sheet.

Who it is for

It is for the church office that currently keeps addresses in one place, phone numbers in another, and a third login just to send a blast. It is for a pastor who wants a text to go to the care team and not to the whole congregation by accident, because the recipients were picked from the directory. It is for a volunteer coordinator who needs Saturday’s open nursery spot to reach two people, not a poster nobody sees.

You do not buy texting as a separate product. It sits on paid Pro, next to email you can already send by hand. If the church is still on the Free plan, email and in-app messages cover the notes you send yourself. The member directory is where the recipients come from. Event registration is the dinner they are invited to. The bulletin is the printed week.

Questions people ask

Does church text messaging come with every plan?

Email and in-app messages are part of the Free plan and you send them yourself. Texting is included with a paid Pro plan, and Pro covers 500 texts.

Who can we text?

People already in your directory. You pick those people, a group, or the whole church. ChurchConnect does not text a list you have never entered.

Can we see what was sent?

Yes. The sent list shows what went out, when, and to how many people, for the messages you send from Communications.

Is a text the same thing as the weekly bulletin?

No. A text is a short note to people you pick. The bulletin is the weekly sheet built from services, events and announcements, which you can print or send. They live next to each other, and they are not the same screen.
