What church bulletin software saves the secretary

The bulletin is the sheet people hold, the email some of them read, and the announcement the pastor still says out loud. Church bulletin software starts from the week you already planned: Sunday worship, the Wednesday supper, the nursery spots that are still open. You decide what is included, you write the short note beside each item, and you print the bulletin or send it. You do not retype the same three lines into a document, an email and a slide.

The screen is the Newsletter tab of the Broadcast Hub. One side is the week’s items. You can highlight the one that matters, drop an item that is not for this week, and add a custom note that is not already an event. Recurring services, such as Sunday worship and a midweek study, can sit on the sheet every week so the times do not get retyped. A header and a footer hold the welcome line and the closing line.

How the week becomes a sheet

Open the bulletin and check the title and the issue date. Include the items the church should see. Print the bulletin for the ushers, or send the same issue as the weekly note. The point of building it once is that the printed sheet and the sent note describe the same week. If a service time changes, you change the item, not three different copies.

The Broadcast Hub is included with Ministry Pro at $49 a month. That is the plan that also sends one announcement onward by email, text and social media when you want more than the printed sheet. Texting is on a paid Pro plan, and Pro covers 500 texts. Email you send by hand, and the events you type by hand, stay available on the Free plan. The bulletin is the paid Pro step for churches that want the week assembled instead of copied.

Who it is for

It is for the secretary who builds the bulletin on Thursday and should not also rebuild it as an email on Friday. It is for a pastor who wants the announcements in the order the church will hear them. It is for a small church whose “bulletin” is currently a half-page someone updates when they remember.

If all you need this week is a short text to two people, use church text messaging instead. If you need people to register for the supper, use event registration and let the bulletin point at that event. The bulletin is the gathered week. The other pages are the tools that feed it. The ChurchConnect home page is where a church account starts.

Questions people ask

What is church bulletin software here?

The Newsletter tab in the Broadcast Hub. You assemble this week’s services, events and announcements, then print a bulletin or send that issue.

Do we type the whole week again?

Recurring services can stay on the sheet from week to week. Events and announcements you are already keeping can be included. You add a custom note only for something that is not already an item.

Can the printed bulletin and the sent note match?

Yes. You build one issue, then print it for the ushers or send that same issue. A time change is edited on the item, not in a separate document and a separate email.

Is the bulletin the same as a text?

No. A text is a short note to people you pick from the directory. The bulletin is the weekly sheet. A church often wants both, and they are different screens.
